Review on Alba Botanica Very Emollient Body Lotion, Unscented Original – 32 Oz by Christine Rogers

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Has it returned? for lotions

I have loved this lotion (Maximum Dry Skin) for many years. At first I liked him unconditionally. Then, as many have pointed out, the formula changed. It still worked well in terms of caring for very dry skin but was more waxy (both in texture and smell), didn't rub in as well and worst of all you were only able to get around 75% of the product. from a bottle. In 2014 I ordered 4 large 32 oz bottles and used up about 75% one after the other and no longer pumped out like a milkshake that was too thick. I even bought some of those bottles and the lotion sat upside down on another quarter full bottle for weeks and STILL wouldn't come out of the bottle. In the end I gave up and threw them away. Since then I've used other lotions but when I got desperate I bought a smaller lotion. Waxy smell and feel again, and about 75% of the way I stopped putting it. Fast forward to yesterday, it was sold at Whole Foods so I took another liter expecting to only be able to use three quarters again. but that's okay because it really works best for my dry winter skin. But when I went to apply it after the shower, I was surprised that the texture was much looser (in a good way) and rubbed in much easier than my previous bottle. I've only used it once, but I think this one will be phased out completely. I'm only giving it four stars because I'm annoyed by the constant rephrasing, but I'm optimistic the real thing is back! The photos show: 1: new good bottle (left) vs. old bad (so much product left when I can't pull any more out), 2: batch codes for good (L) and bad (R) 3: poked straw, the tried to pull out a little, and the holes just stayed there. Did this over 12 hours ago. So waxy. 4: textures (good L, bad R, thicker, not good)
