my son is breastfeeding and sleeping with me so of course he sometimes climbs on the edge of the bed and falls a few when i turn on his tits while i'm half asleep sometimes (fortunately my mattress is not high off the floor, and I have pillows next to the bed for things like that) I was looking for a rail for the bed, but I wanted something more comfortable for me to get in and out of bed. This item was absolutely perfect for me. It's very soft, has grip on both the top and bottom, making it harder to slide across the sheets. It's so comfortable, even for me, that I'm considering buying another one for the other side of the bed.
