We just ordered this backpack for our second graders a few weeks ago. The screen print is frayed at the corners of the front pocket, but I'll admit some of that is certainly rough on an 8-year-old boy. My biggest gripe, however, is the mesh pocket on the side. Literally after a day or two of use, a tear was found in the upper part of the bag right by the binding. As expected, the gap widens even without using this bag. I don't think this is a great bag for the money we spent on it. We've had cheaper bags from big department stores that have lasted much longer without this wear and tear.
