I have to say this thing has more features than I thought or needed. That's not bad as I'll probably learn to need at least some of these. All I really needed was a field monitor to connect to my video system when using the teleprompter because the teleprompter blocks my camera's flip-up screen so I couldn't tell if I was in the picture or not. It definitely solved that problem. It's all plastic so it doesn't take much violence, but for my purposes it doesn't become violent unless I drop it. The plastic construction makes it lightweight, which is a plus if I decide to take it outside of the studio. It can be controlled via the touch screen or buttons. However, what I don't like is that my camera's fold-down monitor stops working when it's plugged in, so I can't control the camera using the touchscreen. But that's more a function of the camera than the monitor. No stars for this, but this inconvenience is worth noting. There is a USB port, an HDMI port, a headphone jack, a DC 8V output and a DC 7-24V input, and 3 ΒΌ-20 threaded jacks (top, bottom and 1 side) for mounting on a tripod etc. However, no DC power supply was included, which is a bit disappointing. But it uses a Canon LP-E6 or Sony NP-F series battery and I have several of these batteries so there is no problem with battery performance. I just prefer continuous power so I don't have to worry about changing batteries. I encountered the problem of a dead battery while taking pictures. I don't live stream and haven't tried the video recording feature, but it's nice to know it's there. My camera isn't designed for live streaming and doesn't have HDMI-only output, so a capture card is a must. I assume this will suffice instead. I was about to blow them up because they don't include the manual, but found out that it can be downloaded from the Revain site. I prefer printed manuals so I don't have to have access to a computer while learning how to use it, but it's better than nothing. Overall, given the price, functionality, and build quality, I'd say it's worth it. Money. Batteries are not included, this is normal, even expected. But I don't like it when cables and power adapters are optional.
