My 10 year old daughter hates wearing a coat but she loves it because it's warm but not bulky and she doesn't fight when she wears it. We are in Maryland, the temperature is below 30 degrees in the winter. The hood has an extra lining to keep it in place. Very nice coat of excellent quality to keep your child warm during recess and during snowball fights.
