Update: After a few months of use I'm starting to notice SOME reddish spots, especially on the shells. As mentioned, we eat LOTS of red foods (chili, gochujang, tomato sauce) [don't drink KoolAid so I don't know about it]. The dishes are still solid - no warping or denting), regularly dishwasher safe so I stand by them as a great purchase but maybe not the best if staining is an issue for you. Original post: I'm skeptical of these, but after using them (almost exclusively) for months, they're holding up great! No chips, stains, warps - nothing! (Now my 5 year old ceramic set is beyond repair! Damn, once the ceramic plate cracked and clogged the dishwasher!) These wheat plates are super lightweight, feel cool after microwaving and I don't have to worry about them. are destroyed. PERFECT for everyday use when there are a few rough users around the house and/or you eat stain-prone foods (we LOVE frito pie, bibimbap with lots of gochujang and red sauce in this house). I wish they could make storage containers out of them too! Excellent investment.
