Review on Magnetic Tool Holder - Lisle 21400: Improving Organization and Efficiency! by Dewitt Graham

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Super strong magnet

Despite what some reviews say, the magnet on this socket holder is quite strong. No, it most likely won't hold the sockets during a hurricane, but maybe a weak tornado or a Category 2 dust storm. But seriously, deep sockets or just heavier sockets fall easier. But they don't fall unless they're spoiled. To knock out shallow nests, you have to make a lot of effort. If you're going to toss your outlets in a bag and head to work, I'd recommend something like a twist-lock head mount. But if you just want something that lays flat on a toolbox, on a trolley, or just something flat in a low-profile drawer, then this holder should help. I bought these to store the less-used SAE and 12-point sockets in that stupid narrow toolbox drawer. I'm sure you get what I mean. A box that is good for nothing. This holder is perfect for those useless drawers. The fact that it's magnetic allows you to slam the drawer in a fit of rage while leaving the sockets intact in a shallow, useless drawer. Plus, you can pull it out and attach it to the sidecar when you need to work on that old poop you don't want to touch. So for the average technician/mechanic/DIY, this should fit your needs. For more mobile situations I would consider twist-lock socket holders.
