I like these containers very much. They look beautiful and seem very strong. I was looking for containers that would fit whole boxes of pasta so I wouldn't have to keep them in their original boxes and would look good in the pantry and I wasn't disappointed. Of course, what fits in a container depends heavily on the type of pasta. Here's what I found out while trying to fill them out. Whole regular sized cases of Ziti, Penne, Rotelle, Mussels (a cheap brand that doesn't list a size but looks about average) and GV flies fit perfectly in one container. Also, I fit in at 13 ounces. a box of potato flakes in a container. Depending on the shape of the pasta, some will have a small cavity while others will fill it completely. I could fit almost an entire two pound box of pasta in one container. On the other hand, I could fit about a half pound bag of wide egg noodles in one container. I'll probably look for something more for stuff like this, or maybe just use two containers. I hope this helps anyone who wants to save stuff like this. I didn't see anything like this in the reviews I read so I just had to estimate the size from a container I had at home that was about the same size. The bottom line is it depends on what you want to store in it and what your expectations are. They are almost the perfect size for my needs. I only gave four stars because I haven't had them long enough to really know how they hold up, but they seem very sturdy. I love the fact that they are transparent enough to see what you have inside, even without the labels. The labels are very cute and an added bonus. I agree with others that blue ink does not appear. This is really bad as the pen has a good nib that makes it very easy to write on smaller labels. I've wanted a chalk marker with a point this thin for a long time, but couldn't find it. I'm hoping the lids will take quite a bit of opening and closing as they are designed for a working pantry so will be used fairly frequently. Overall I am very happy with this purchase and would order them again without hesitation.
