The smell of this urogenizer is light and pleasant, not intrusive and intrusive! When you change your cat or litter box, the smell of ammonia is awful and overwhelming. Finding a way to neutralize ammonia is of paramount importance! It's best to clean the box before adding new, fresh, clean bedding, but that usually seems like a waste of time. But not anymore! First we throw the old used junk in the trash (because sadly that's the only option where we live). Second, we clean the tray with antibacterial soap and rinse it. Third, let the box dry naturally in the garden or basement (depending on the weather). Fourth, after the tray is dry, we spray the tray with a pleasantly smelling replenisher and let it dry. Finally we assemble the box and add fresh, clean new stuffing. (We have the PetSafe Ultra Scoopfree Automatic Bowl with non-clumping crystal filling). It has improved our life tremendously! Now that the ammonia is obvious, we know it's time to change the filler! This is no longer part of everyday life! I'm not exactly sure what exactly this product was made for. But it certainly makes a pet owner's life MUCH easier!
