There are many, but this one actually works

that there are so many USB-C hubs out there. I tried some of these and either sent them back or gave them to a friend. I needed dual and triple monitor functionality - that's the most important thing for me. while others were working, they usually just copied my laptop screen instead of extending the desktop. This one works, but you need to understand the hardware limitations. I have two dual monitors in my room. The first has 120Hz monitors and is my gaming rig. I tried using it on these monitors as a test run and while it technically worked, the resolution was awful, like I was on a 1970's PC. I was like. Yes, another crappy USB hub. Then I tested it on my other 60Hz monitors. I know it says 30Hz is the limit but it still works. I installed three monitors (2 external via HDMI and one built into the laptop) and it really worked. I was able to extend the desktop and everything worked fine - with a decent resolution. I think if I can get the frequency down to 30Hz I'll have even more resolution options, but that was enough. I then hooked up a few USB devices to see if it could handle it and it worked. A good product for the price and functionality. It does what it says on the tin and now allows me to easily connect my laptop to a single cable (it also runs on USB power) which is AWESOME.

Pros
  • Brilliantly made
Cons
  • I've known for a long time
