As with many big screen TV buyers, my existing furniture will not fit on the wide legs/stands that come with these new TVs. And even if it matches the furniture, you can't just flip the TV. This stand easily solves these problems. This is a high quality stand, durable and easy to assemble. A nice touch are the included Velcro cable ties on the back of the stand, which effectively hide the connection cables. It works great with the 55 inch Samsung Series 7 (flat) TV that I bought. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was because I had to buy longer TV mount adapter screws to attach the bracket parts to my TV. The longest screws supplied were M8 (1.25mm spacing) x 35mm. The Samsung mentioned above required an M8 x 45mm length, which I was able to purchase from Home Depot. Considering the stand is rated at 99 pounds it will certainly handle some of the larger screens, so the manufacturer should have foreseen the need for longer screws. So I recommend those buying this for TVs over 43 inches or so to get the specs for these screws ahead of time so you have them on hand for installation. My Samsung user manual had a specification for these screws.
