Spray some WD-40 on the inner gear teeth, press and hold the button, flex the locking levers a couple of times and you're good to go. The product is excellent right out of the box, keeps working and reliable. When I first bought this product, I was afraid that the internal gears would eventually seize and break. My phone gets hot when I charge it so I specifically chose a vented charger to keep my phone cool. However, my fears were justified as the button was difficult to press and the spring began to slowly open the lock. However, this was corrected with some WD-40 and now it works great. It's a decent product if you add a little hillbilly fat. Unfortunately, this will be unknown to many consumers who will experience their product sticking, jamming and eventually breaking their device while trying to hold down the locked button and consider it a bad product.
