Approval came quickly and upon inspection the board looks well thought out and quite simple. It is connected to a 25W driver, which is then connected to the mains. I liked that the circuit board was detachable from the driver, which made installation a bit easier. I had an existing ceiling junction box with screws left over from a previous fan installation. I redesigned the fan screws as the package did not include screws to attach the ceiling mount to the junction box. I then found a slight inconvenience in the design, the power cords are a really neat screw connection allowing for easy and secure switching, but the end that goes into the driver box is not removable and so wiring needs to be considered. so that the conductors are hidden in the junction box. I also found the nuts and bolts to attach the driver to the bracket a bit annoying. However, once the bracket and driver are installed, all you have to do is connect the board to the MOLEX connectors and screw the board and then the cover in place. The remote paired flawlessly when I held the program button for 5 seconds as soon as the light came on. All functions work well and overall my child is very happy with the light. It's bright and emits a wide spectrum of white light along with RGB capabilities.
