Beautiful at first sight but short lived

Would not recommend or buy again. For $45, it looks good at first glance. It has water stains after a few weeks of hand washing, despite our best efforts to keep it clean and dry. This is very tricky maintenance as I was trying to keep it dry when I noticed a few random drops of water on it and yet there were discolored stains all over its surface. Just today two more very conspicuous 1 inch round spots appeared. I don't let my kids run amok with oil based stuff like paint or whatever so I don't even know how that happened. In fact, the claimed natural finish doesn't protect it. I feel like I threw away $50 and would have been better off buying a $10 plastic stool at Walmart.
