You need to download an app that uses a camera with a QR code. This doesn't take you to the Playstore, it takes you to what appears to be a Chinese download website. It was my first suspicion that it would fail. So I downloaded it and installed it on my wife's phone. Immediately after granting permissions, the app goes haywire and lets different apps slide back and forth across the screen. You immediately notice that something is wrong. We gave it some time, but the next day I installed Malwarebytes just in case. The next evening I checked the notifications and actually found two trojans. I turned off the app earlier in the day when my wife was complaining about crazy back and forth movements at random times as the apps slid across the screens. They suspect the application is looking for information that can be intercepted and sent back to the server for nefarious god knows what. Malwarebytes gave me the option to uninstall the attackers and uninstall the app, which I did. In addition, the cover fits perfectly and gives the desired effect. Now I want to test the Samsung Smartview app and see if it does anything. I doubt there is a really working "Smart View" feature in this case. I will update this review if allowed to be published later. I would look for another supplier for this product in the future.
