Before I bought these I often stored leftovers, vegetables, fruit etc in regular plastic closeable bags. I would wash them and reuse them many many times. That was fine except regular bags aren't really made to be reused so they are difficult to wash. I also got grief from my family for trying to reuse something that was meant to be disposable. These bags were going to address both of those issues for me. And they did. They are thicker plastic so easier to wash and they are designed to reuse. That's great. The bad part is the closing grooves wear out and they become impossible to seal. They will be thrown them away soon. It's been 18 months. I've gotten that much use time from regular store bought plastic bags which cost a lot less. My search for refrigerator storage bags continues.
