Material is warm but not for extremely cold temperatures. I bought it to ride on a cold California morning. On a very cold morning you will still feel a little cold before your ride, but not as much as if you were wearing a regular jersey. It's the perfect warmth to keep you warm while riding without overheating. Fleece is a nice short fleece that feels good against the skin and will keep you warm after a while. Long sleeves perfectly cover the wrists. and keep them warm. The only problem I have with leotards is that the neckline is quite wide. Even if the neck is worn high, it has a very wide opening and catches a lot of wind. Not wearing a scarf or buff leaves your throat very open and cold.
