I originally got this as an option to mount the mic on the Osmo 3 gimbal. It does that job really well. Since then I've found many other uses for it. Using a microphone with a DSLR or mirrorless camera is a simpler and more compact alternative than a full cage. If you just need a cage to install a microphone or video light, I think this is the best option for you. It will be tested soon to see it will also include a viewfinder and camera to allow auto aiming with a DSLR on a rail mount for astrophotography. It might not be hard enough, but it's worth a try. Very good for the price!
