I was a bit nervous when I received this item in the mail because the packaging was completely different from the picture. However, it was essentially the same product and was still able to charge my son's Nintendo DSi XL. Although it does charge my son's DS, it appears to be made of inferior material and can break or fail over time if you're not careful with it. However, given the price, it's wise to take such a risk as my son will likely damage it over time anyway (he's 4 years old). So I'm willing to sacrifice some quality for a lower overall cost.
