Review on Microsoft 2XJ 00001 Bluetooth Keyboard 6000 by Stanisaw Augustynowi ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Everything is fine, I liked the product, I bought it for a reason.

Marvelous keyboard in terms of keys - perfect size for me, tactilely pleasant, work fine, no annoying numlock - by default, the numeric keypad works as if it is pressed. It is convenient that there are additional functions such as adjusting the volume or calling the calculator. With a separate application from Microsoft, you can configure them to work by pressing Fn, and by default the F-keys perform their main function. The smiley and Office buttons are useless. The lock and settings buttons are annoying: they are above the backspace, so I regularly miss and instead of erasing, I lock the system or open the parameters. The most annoying drawback of this keyboard is random falling asleep. All conceivable manipulations were made - turning off everything that is possible in the power saving settings, ating bluetooth drivers, and so on and so forth. No. Falls asleep when idle, for the life of me, and does not wake up. Moreover, in a very random way: it can stand for 10–15 minutes and quickly wake up when you press a key, otherwise it falls off after 5 minutes of inactivity and does not come to life in any way. It was not possible to establish a relationship with any additional conditions; it seems that it comes from the bullshit. I got used to quickly revitalize the computer into sleep mode and immediately wake it up, then the keyboard wakes up with it. Reloading or deleting/adding the keyboard every time would be unrealistic. If not for this jamb, she would not have had a price, so I still put a four on the whole, and not lower. : after changing the laptop to a computer (with built-in bluetooth), all the problems with the falling off of the keyboard are gone (after adjusting the power saving settings). Apparently, this problem is directly related to the peculiarities of the bluetooth drivers of a particular system manufacturer, and not just with the Microsoft keyboard, although, in fairness, it should be noted that other bluetooth keyboards worked fine on the laptop.

Pros
  • Tactilely pleasant keys
Cons
  • Falls off when idle on some systems; uncomfortable buttons for locking and calling parameters
