Original review, update below: In just 4 months after just one use on our van the straps deteriorated to the point where we could break them with a light pull. My wife replaced them with leather. We wanted to use them next to our bed in our van on car trips to store iPhones, clothes and the like. I hung them on the ledges, but only for the night. They lay on the bed under the sun from late February 2020 to late June 2020. We were in quarantine due to the coronavirus so the van barely moved. Sun exposure is about 2 hours per day. The material of the belt doesn't stand up to it. The utility was good for one of our trips. Update 9/15/20: The straps on one of them had already gone bad. Another did the same during lockdown and we didn't travel for most of 2020. Now we notice that the trim is also falling off in small pieces, making a mess. They are not intended for use in the sun. These are the only products I've ever had this problem with.
