Fortunately the transfer case lever in my '04 Ram 2400 started to dangle after going from 4 lo to 2 hi. When I had a chance to get inside to see what was going on, I saw that the front of the transfer case lever was disconnected and hanging down. The rubber bushing crumbled and fell apart causing the bar to slip. The stern wasn't in the best condition. I was like OMG where can I find a replacement for this, I'll probably have to buy new traction from the dealer for a hundred and seventy nine bucks or something ridiculous. Imagine my relief when google brought me here to Revain and just what I needed for a few bucks. I fitted the new bushings to the transfer case lever and shifter, then slipped the ends of the connecting rod through the center and was good as new in the shop. No tools, no fuss, no fuss, bada bing, bada arrow, done. Make sure you line up the bushings so the small hole is closer to the center of the car and the pointed end of the linkage comes out of the large hole and protrudes slightly. out of a small hole when it snaps into place
