Review on Leviton 80706-W 2-Gang, 1-Toggle 1-Blank Device Combination πŸ”Œ Wallplate: Standard Size, White - Enhanced Convenience for Wallplate Installation by Michael Moulton

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Convenient layout, good bracket, thin and thin board

Apparently Leviton makes several or more similar breadboards with different part numbers and prices, so it's best to follow the lead of the other browsers and visit the Leviton website. I couldn't find '2 Group, 1 Switch and 1 Blank Device Wall Mount Combo' locally until I bought it from Revain. Each model is priced differently, but at Revain they are all overpriced between $4-$8 as of 2014-4. I bought an 88006 2 speed 1 arm 1 blank for $1.19, it's thick and doesn't flex, but basically the 88006, 80706, 88106 and 80506 are a similar design with different screw locations and plate thicknesses. 88006 says it was made in the USA but it says something different about Mexico in Spanish. The only thing wrong with the 88006 is that the cutouts aren't shaped and cut nice and clean like the 80506, 80706 and others I've used, but they fit and can easily be trimmed with a razor blade. The asymmetrical screw layout looks odd, so if your rig can handle it, I recommend the 80706 or similar thicker model with a symmetrical screw layout. I used it to cover a large whole so I didn't have to fix the drywall and paint. / 8 inch 80706 and 88006 are 4-1/2" x 4-1/2". I'm not sure of the exact size of the 88106, but the specs say about 5-1/2" x 5-1/2".

Pros
  • Smooth surface and rounded edges prevent dust accumulation
Cons
  • Piggy bank price
