I bought this to give my desk a nice consistent background in tutorial videos. It's perfect for this purpose and looks like rich natural leather, although suitable for vegans. The color is wonderful, cognac. The mat is well made, splash-proof and easy to clean. The only downside is that it's not difficult at all. If you're used to a weighted table mat that holds itself up, this could be frustrating. I keep art supplies on either side of my workbench, so these bins line the edges of the mat and keep it in place.
