Just looking to buy the 7100. I love this camera. I'm switching from an old Canon Rebel DSLR. I love this camera. I switched to Nikon as it was better value for money and had to send my Canon gear in for a deep cleaning and it's actually cheaper to upgrade and get the same starter lenses. College newspaper and photos were also released. I buy for personal use, both for us and for the future baby. I preferred 5200 instead of 5300 because of the money. I don't need GPS and the kit comes with a Wi-Fi adapter. I wanted to save money to invest in good prime lenses and other lenses. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to go from point to point and really learn the art of photography. I learned how to shoot with an SLR and I still love how film can look in some shots. But the simplicity of a digital camera couldn't be better, and I'll be shooting with it more often. I prefer to shoot in manual mode, so I can't comment on preset shooting modes. But I don't see any of the modes in red. The menu is pretty easy to use. I know there is a learning curve so I'm sure it will be easier for me to get over it pretty quickly. The two lenses that come with it are good. They will fit best, but the first purchase will be prime lenses and something with a smaller aperture.
