I ordered a medium and it fits a little on the free side which is what I was looking for. For women's shirts I usually wear medium. I'm 5'9" and 145 pounds. The slim business jacket feels very tight, so for me it's exactly what I was looking for. I washed it to get rid of the slight factory smell. It held up well to the wash. No fading, no shrinking, no protruding seams. I let it air dry and iron it. I recommend this trendy jacket to spice up any outfit.
