Very nice little bedside table with a large drawer and storage underneath. It took me about an hour to compose myself in a calm, leisurely manner. I put off collecting this table as I'm older, hard to see directions or small areas. Luckily, the instructions were just diagrams with no words, which actually made the process easier. Pre-drilled screw holes are machined with high precision. They match perfectly! What a blessing. Make sure your pieces are at right angles - 90 degrees. If you are using an electric drill only use a slow speed otherwise you may mess up the pre-drilled holes and it is a narrow surface so you will end up with a mess. Here are some tips I wish someone would have told me, or maybe done, but I wasn't listening. OK, here it is. Use a short-handled Phillips screwdriver for good torque. You don't need anything else. Do not overtighten one screw and then move on to the next. Instead, make sure you line up the holes, look from above to make sure you're using a threaded hole, and then start threading on all four sides. Then start tightening in about 25% increments and from opposite sides, as if applying the same torque when tightening the tire nuts. You can then put the two dowels in their slots on one side, but on the other side you need to line them up properly so that when you tighten the screws, the dowels are pushed into their respective holes on the opposite side. All nested parts fit perfectly. When you're done, go back and check that all surfaces are in full contact. You may find that you haven't tightened enough in some places. The heads of all screws should be embedded far enough into the threaded hole that you can easily insert wooden dowels. The result is a stable table for regular use, not for sitting, but your cat may have different ideas about it and it won't hurt. . Very happy with this table.
