I have a love-hate relationship with this shoe! We bought size 5 pink shoes for our 18 month old daughter and she has worn them A LOT this summer. They were exactly what we were looking for. They seem to be very comfortable for her and serve as a great shoe for her to wear in the kids pool and outside the kids pool this summer while exploring creeks etc. However, they have a chemical smell that I have never experienced. I've never noticed anything like this in my life, but these shoes stink. We washed them several times and the smell didn't go away. I probably wouldn't care about the smell but after wearing them for quite some time we noticed a rash on our daughter's legs and she started complaining about itchy legs. Of course we weren't sure if the shoes were to blame (or maybe not, which is why I only gave them one star) but I will say their feet smell like chemicals even after wearing them. We started making her wear socks when she had to wear them to play in the water and even the socks smelled like it. So we decided to fire her. If you buy them, wash them before your child puts them on and watch out for rashes and whatnot! Another annoyance with them is that the small insole/pad inside falls out/moves when you take off your shoes etc.
