Review on 🖱️ Renewed Logitech M705 Wireless Marathon Mouse: 3-Year Battery & Hyper-Fast Scrolling in Ergonomic Black Design for PC/Laptop with Unifying Receiver by Ha Joon Joon

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A great option for this money, I definitely recommend it!

In general, the mouse is very good. The M500 was a cool mouse for work, but I like this one even more (because of the weight, and because it's new). Most of the shortcomings are quite subjective - they come down either to aesthetics or to things that I specifically do not need. The radio signal is rarely lost. Perhaps the next mouse will be mx master, if something new does not appear by then. It's a pity that only logitech makes mice with two wheel scrolling modes and the choice of them is rather small.

Pros
  • 1. Weight. The mouse is quite heavy (relatively) and subjectively feels more serious than most mice I've had before. 2. Scroll wheel. Before that, I inherited a wired M500 at work and switching operating modes turned out to be very handy. Especially on large documents, when you need to scroll to a certain place and there are two options - either press Page Up / Down until a certain point, or switch to free mode and let it spin to the right place. I also note that the wheel, in my opinion, is quite high quality - this was one of my frequent problems on old mice - the wheel often failed. 3. Ergonomics. I am right-handed and, to be honest, I don’t really understand the desire of manufacturers to make many (if not most) models universal for both hands. 4. Battery life. I bought it six months ago, I use it every day for work and everyday (browser mainly) purposes, from time to time playing (not shooters), Solaar shows a charge of 90%. After my previous experience with wireless mice, which were held for 2-3 weeks - a big contrast.
Cons
  • 1. Housing material. On the old M500 mouse, the rubber under the fingers, especially in the area of \u200b\u200bthe nails, has long been erased. It does not affect the user experience, it suffers mainly aesthetics. 2. Paint. Probably the same goes for the first point. For six months, the icon on the button for switching wheel modes was erased. Also, the Logitech inscription with the logo and the arrow to the left next to the wheel are already in not very good condition. 3. Extra button. I work mainly in linux and for all the time I have not come up with an assignment for this button. 4. Pads on which the mouse stands. I recently discovered that they are rather worn out, it seems that I didn’t roll it on sandpaper, but it looks like they will need to come up with something soon. 5. Loss of signal. From time to time, the signal disappears when there is a person (or part of a person) between the mouse and the receiver, which is rather strange - like people should not create much interference.
