Review on Faria 32805 Euro 7000 Tachometer by Justin Spoja

Not exactly for Evinrude E-Tec

Paid a local Evinrude dealer to install a wheelbarrow. I was told the wheelbarrow gauge did not match the laptop that was plugged into my 90hp E-Tec Evinrude. Contacted Faria, they sent me speedometer calibration instructions and showed me where to find the calibration adjustment screw. Taken to Evinrude dealer per Faria's instructions, paid again. When I took the boat they showed me that where the instructions said there was no adjusting screw. Back to Faria this time, they said the adjustment screw might be hidden by another label on the back. Took it to the Evinrude dealer and they said they couldn't calibrate the low and high RPMs. They calibrated it to 3000rpm and couldn't assure me it was accurate. I should have spent more money and bought an Evinrude BRP branded touchscreen. I was able to install it myself and Evinrude products are always of the highest quality. After a month or two, the tachometer will not reset to zero when the engine is turned off. It hangs at around 500 rpm!
