The masculine scent, on the other hand, makes the hair soft.

I bought this on the recommendation of my stylist/extension expert. I have used Matrix brands in the past and really vouch for their products when I buy them in the salon, although there are usually more. I loved her scents and her mousse never made my hair stiff. It had a slightly masculine scent, it's not bad but not my favorite. In terms of performance, however, it's still better than the $40+ shampoos designed for builds I've paid for. Not a bad option for the price.
