Lights up my desk well but needs a workaround to attach the spring.

It brightens up my desk so I can now read printed text (instead of constantly searching for a PDF file). Basically, it glows inside the case of my PC or whatever gadget I'm working on. I almost never have to hunt a flashlight again. There's a tube light on my cage, but it's easy to get to and I often know something from my desk will turn it on. The power button is not far away and all you have to do is press it. Unfortunately, the well-made spring mount did not meet my needs. My Samsung monitor is almost 2 inches wide at the top. And my Dell monitor has a slant on the back of the case that the spring clip can't grab onto. So I got high strength glue. I sanded a small area on top of the monitor as well as the underside of the mounting block. I then attached one of the blocks to the top of the monitor and let it dry for 12 hours. I also put a drop of glue on the USB-C cable and it didn't come loose. My only regret is that I wish I had 20.4 inches (which is one of the 15.7). because there is only a $5 price difference between the two models.

Pros
  • I'm looking forward to
Cons
  • I could have chosen a newer model
