I bought a Manfrotto 055XPRO3-BHQ2 aluminum tripod with XPRO ball head and was looking for a protective case/carrying bag for it. A Manfrotto Signature bag (80 cm) costs over $80. After researching, I decided on this bag because of the size and the good reviews. When it arrived it was fully stretched out. I put my tripod in the bag, which turned out to be too long - the tripod wobbled up and down in the bag when the zip was fully closed. At first I thought of packing some towels in my bag to keep the tripod in place; I also thought of lengthening the legs of the tripod so it could move longer. Then I thought, dammit, let's close the pocket extender and see what happens. To my pleasant surprise, it fitted the tripod snugly, although the platform had to be slid aside on the ball heads, and there was a slight bulge at the end of the bag when fully closed. However, I now have a decent case for my Manfrotto 055 that offers the necessary protection and easy portability.
