Unfortunately my pom has lost all of his fur so he can't keep himself cool in the summer heat so this really helped! Of all the places he'd usually lay on the couch, when I got him this cooling mat he always laid wherever it was. My other dog seemed to like it too much and made a mess on it - the stains won't come out. She doesn't need the cooling effect but she likes to be near her big brother at all times. I highly recommend this product for double-coated dogs that live in warmer regions! Don't get it if you have a messy younger one (dog/child) though lol
