The description says it's for girls aged 12-16 but we have it for a 9 year old girl turning 19 ! She had no problem reading or figuring out directions — and she loves the cherry blossom lights above her dresser in her room. It took her the better part of a day and worked sporadically to complete it. We are grandparents who love giving our grandchildren fun gifts with a practical and artsy twist. We believe that giving a gift that also offers an opportunity to learn and do something is great. These things stimulate imagination and creativity and teach young people to do things independently and learn on the go. There is satisfaction with the end result and a job well done. This creative kit is just the ticket! The set includes cherry blossoms, beads, branches, glitter accents, tassels and a 2.5m LED string light. It runs off a USB plug, which is standard these days but isn't as practical in our friend's room as an outlet would be easier. One star for that. All in all it's a fun idea and a nice light effect. highlighted.
