I like the magnetic mount and find it better than the previous model from the same company that used a clamp phone mount. This model was less comfortable and the plastic mechanism holding the phone wore out over time and no longer held the phone in place. The magnetic holder is much more practical. I can slam my phone in with one hand and it mostly stays in place well (sometimes when I press too hard on the icons on the phone and push it off the stand).
