Update 08/12/21 - 5 stars reduced to 1 star. I like the camera but the software was recently updated and didn't have any short video clips older than 24 hours. This greatly detracts from the usefulness of this camera. I am extremely disappointed. Now there are only individual snapshots of what used to be 12-second video clips. There seems to be a slot for your own SD card to save yourself, which I'm reluctant to resort to, but now they force all users to rely on their paid cloud service to watch video clips. I will probably REMOVE this camera now because I see the point in it now and I encourage EVERYONE who has it to complain very loudly. It looks like Wansview and others are using the same software and are moving in the same direction. VERY BAD ACTION by Faleemi and other GREEDY video campaigns. I can no longer recommend this camera (or Wansview), which I previously rated with 5 stars. I will also update my Wansview camera reviews from now on. ------------ I saw some negative reviews and was a little apprehensive, but I gave it a try anyway. I'm glad I focused on all the positive reviews because I've had good experiences with it so far. Major construction is starting behind my friend's property so there was some concern about respecting her boundary. I set it up to give her peace of mind. Here's what I like about it: 1. It was easy to set up. It literally took 3 minutes and the audio voice guided me through the entire setup.2. This actually worked on my girlfriend's 5GHz network as I didn't know how to access her 2.4GHz network.3. It has a really sharp and clear image day and night; powerful IR lamps at night! 4. The microphone is amazing and picks up everything outside including birds, voices, cars passing by, etc.5. Double-tapping the screen enlarges it, then I can drag it with my finger to see specific areas larger6. The mount is easy to adjust with hex head screws, allowing me to mount it very accurately and securely7. Can login and monitor property8 from anywhere. Motion detection works great, but is a little more sensitive at night when large moths fly in front of the lens9. The app works great and looks well designed10. The picture does not "freeze" even though it is far from the WiFi router and has a weak signal to connect to 11. The interface/navigation is intuitive and similar to other camera software I've used so I already know where and how to use it. Here's what I didn't like about it: 1. No complaints. So far I can't think of anything that I don't like. Can't comment on customer service as I didn't need to contact them. It's been a fantastic investment. Highly recommended.
