These are the warmest riding gloves I've ever owned. Driving in your mid-twenties and these gloves alone make your hands very hot. If you're near freezing, it's best to remove them as even a short 15 miles will make your hands sweat. Put in some earplugs and you can go to 0 without discomfort. The gloves are a bit big but it looks like you can wear the inserts. The outer fabric of these gloves keeps the wind out very well and the extra large cuff makes it easier to slip into the sleeves of the jacket. The gloves have a hand strap to block air from the cuff. I have several Pearl Izumi winter gloves as well as other brands and they are far superior to all of them.
