These gloves are designed to protect hands from the cold and are bulky. Not too bulky to interfere with my Honda's manual controls. Throttle, clutch and brake levers work fine. The signal, light and starter buttons took some getting used to, but not a long learning curve. Not as comfortable as warm weather gloves, keys in pocket are a problem. My hands stay warm enough on a four hour ride in Ohio temps. warms up just above zero. My fingers weren't fried, but they weren't cold either. Good balance between insulation and flexibility. An awkward encounter with a bird made a deep impression on me on the back padding. It gives me a good feeling of protection if I hit the pavement unexpectedly. Luckily I didn't have a chance to test them thoroughly. After many days of rain and a few snow/ice I have found that my hands stay dry and comfortable. I treat riding leather with mink oil. Thick leather gloves stay soft and supple. In general, they are worth their money. Should last a very long time.
