I love Sony headphones so this is a pretty biased review. However, I have a pair of old $20 Sony headphones that I've had for about 5 years and I've been thinking about finally getting a second set. I chose this one. They're noticeably louder and have a bit more bass, which is especially noticeable with electronic music, but you'll hear faint noises that you'll never hear, since rock music has more of a pronounced guitar string tug. I'm by no means a music lover, just an ordinary person who wants the best sound, however small, at a reasonable price. They are good quality, sonically and made of smarter material than the headphones I already have and I can say they will last me a long time. They look stylish and sit comfortably in my ear. They give you different sizes of ear tips for different ears. People say the bumps feel bulky and heavy, but I don't feel it or notice the heaviness. I wonder if my ears are strong? All in all I love them! The microphone and controls are a bonus. *Edit: Part of the paint chipped off within three days. I hate their brutality but the color doesn't last long. However, they still look very pretty and it's really a minor thing, but a warning if you're really picky.
