My mom called me the other day, shocked that replacement filters for her Whirlpool refrigerator cost $50! I started doing a little research and found them. I'm no genius, but I do know that filters are nothing more than a plastic tube filled with activated charcoal. I'm sure there are more, but that's the general idea. If the hot tub didn't fill them with magic charcoal, I can't pay $50, so let's try. Didn't notice any difference in water quality. Nothing worse than the original. They are a little shorter than the original but they seal perfectly and return well to the holder. I hope these budget filter companies put pressure on big name brands to lower their prices!
