Review on Gaming chair ThunderX3 TC3, upholstery: faux leather, color: jet black by Ada Lewandowska ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I am very happy with this purchase, I will advise everyone!

In essence, it was the brand and pricing that convinced me to buy the chair. Though not well-known, ThunderX3 has received positive ratings for both the brand and this specific model. I considered buying the TC5 model, but I learned from reading online that it only has 4 positions for the backrest. In this case, I like to fiddle with the settings to make it as comfortable as possible for me. The TC3 model did not let me down in this area; it was a good fit for me. The distinctive click that occurs when the armrests are turned is something I enjoyed because it lets you know that they are in their intended position and are not trapped in the middle. If you are fortunate enough to thread all of the bolts the first time, the installation is quite straightforward and has no issues at all. Only 10 bolts total—4 under the saddle, 4 on the back, and 2 on the safety plastic parts on either side of the back—need to be tightened manually. All of them spin with a hexagon. You don't even need to twist anything; half of the parts are simply placed and stay in place. By the way, a fastex is used to secure both pillows (trident). The kit's hexagon is the most typical and least expensive piece, so it isn't very convenient and doesn't have any bells and whistles. However, it is more than sufficient to assemble the chair just once and leave it alone. In general, I saw a little flaw during assembly: it is preferable to tighten the higher bolts on both sides first (without screwing it all the way in, just a little into the thread), then adjust the backrest if necessary and tighten the lower ones, and finally, uniformly tighten from all sides. It may be more challenging to use a bolt to go into the thread since it may not exactly line up with the hole in the synthetic leather. More bolts are included with the kit (one of each type). Washer spares are not provided.

Pros
  • Nice design and practicality - Simple assembly (takes an hour to put together) - Detailed assembly instructions in a number of languages The back can be adjusted to your preference. High-quality materials are used.
Cons
  • - There are just three configurations for the armrests to rotate in: straight and roughly 45 degrees in each directions (they spin on their own, but in general it is not critical) - The armrests' small amplitude when being raised - The difficulty returning adjustment levers to their previous positions (as if something is preventing them). - The wheels spin unevenly - During assembling, it sometimes seems to get caught in the thread on the rear, but as you get the feel of it, everything comes together.
