Danger! Danger! If you put the container in the fridge, vacuum it when it's cold!

If you are storing the container in the fridge, vacuum seal it when it has cooled. I pump it out and put it in the fridge, so the container is completely deformed. I try to salvage it by pouring out the contents, pouring warm water over it and trying to reshape it so the lid will fit back on. Unfortunately I lost 3 containers due to severe deformation and again the lid didn't fit. Otherwise the containers are fine, do the job as described.
