Review on πŸ”οΈ Ultimate Fun with the Little Tikes Mountain Inflatable Bouncer! by James Sevenfourgd

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Well done and lots of fun

We've had this slide for a little over two months now and the whole area loves it! AGE: My children are 3 and 8 years old and they both enjoy it very much. We had children under 14 and I would say it was perfect for everyone. When we first got the slide we had a lot of rules to keep the kids from bursting. I was scared to death that $400 was going down the drain. However, as more and more children came into the house and I saw how durable it was, I had fewer and fewer rules. When we have a whole bunch of older guys playing, they get damn rude trying to push someone off the "top of the mountain". For some reason the thing is still worth it. However, I made a rule that only two people can be upstairs at a time. When there are more of them and they are rough, they get tangled up and create a dangerous situation. (By the way, the description says a maximum of 4 babies, but the product image says 5.) PERSONALIZATION: The slide is easy to assemble. We secure the tarpaulin (for sticks, dog droppings, etc.) and inflate the slide over it. Inflated in about a minute. Then we lower the slide over our cheap tarpaulin. We leave the hose connected because it's a bit annoying to have to reattach it every time. Note: Our hose was not manufactured correctly. The snorkel needs to be attached with velcro straps on the side and the atomizers attach with velcro, but our design was made to allow the snorkel to come down the other side of the slide. Because of this, we need to twist (and bend) the pipe at one point. It's okay, but I need to contact the company. I would say that the installation takes 10-15 minutes max from start to finish. TEARDOWN: That's what I hate. Another reviewer mentioned that you need TWO yards big enough for this slide and they are absolutely right. First, I'm going to blow out this thing (it's easy to do: you just need to unclip the place where the blower attaches and another thing with an outlet chute) and drain the water out of the pool. I then have to drag it to the dry part of the yard (which must be quite a distance away because our yard becomes a swap in a fairly large radius around the slide) and inflate it again. We need to let it dry for at least a few hours while inflated, which is difficult when it gets dark or it starts to rain. I absolutely do NOT want to add moisture to this thing. The next step is to fold it up and put it in your pocket. My husband is a master at this but I can't fold it properly to fit in the small bag it came with. I actually bought a patio furniture storage bag because it's so much bigger. It also goes with the blower and extension we always use. SUMMARY: Kids of all ages love these slides, but I always have to be vigilant to make sure they aren't so rough that they get tangled or the top falls backwards. Assembly is easy, but disassembly becomes quite annoying. I am very impressed with how well made it is apart from a manufacturing defect in our pipe. The fan is great and does its job well. My yard is pretty much ruined after hours of playing with all the kids running around on the super wet grass. Overall, though, kids get an absolute blast, so it's worth it.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors
