Super fun, pretty easy, magical when you're done.

I'm very impressed. I've read the reviews so I was a bit concerned about the smell, the arrangement of the rolls with smaller pieces at each end, the difficulty of using this for an entire wall, etc. I posted nine rolls in an hour. While all my rolls were the same with small 1-2 inch strips on each end of the roll, I found this didn't detract from the overall look of the project. There are enough differences in the "boards" that these thinner parts are not noticeable. I found that by measuring bottom to top and then top to bottom on the next roll I kept the same colors on these smaller pieces and there is only one seam I can see on the entire wall I made have. But I'm very picky and I've been told no one else will see it. I have a teenage son who is incredibly difficult to impress and was blown away by this wall. He said he had to go up and touch it to see if it was real. I agree, the picture does not convey this. If you're on the fence, try this. For a large project, it may be easier to have two people help remove and smooth the backing, for smaller projects, one person will suffice. The paper will curl up when you tear off the backing, so do it slowly. I started by removing 2-3 inches, started rolling on the wall, and then slowly smoothed and removed the backing. Went like clockwork. I also removed the bottom paneling so I didn't have to be absolutely precise with the cuts and the paneling would hide any differences.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Low maintainability
