I used a similar case on a laptop I bought years ago and have always been lucky enough to actually buy a second one when I had it (not even, because it was broken, I just wanted another transplant). Because of this experience, I was confident that it would be easy to install and protect my new laptop, especially since I bought it new and it was an upgrade from my old setup. Immediately there was a problem: when trying to install the top, it didn't latch securely and ended up actually DAMAGED. I would say definitely skip it, not only will you not get any protection but you will actually have to worry about protecting your laptop from this fall.
