Review on Organic Coco Bliss Coconut Coir Pith: Ideal Substrate For Your Garden – Low EC And PH, 100% Organic And OMRI Listed (40 Lbs) by Jason Matthews

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Inconsistent but good enough

I ordered 4 of these blocks to fill my snake racks since the stores around here aren't carrying the traditional coconut bedding in brick form. My order came in 2 boxes. One box had two bricks with the branding of the company I purchased from. The other box had two bricks that were unbranded. The unbranded bricks were definitely smaller as well. The branded blocks easily filled 5 41oz tubs of substrate (not completely filled but lining the bottom as a bedding) with some good amount extra. The unbranded block was barely able to fill 5 with that extra added on. I did notice a few bits of paper but that's not really abnormal with these products. The unbranded bag also seemed to be a lot more "dirt" than chips but still had plenty of chip materials. Overall I think this is a case of Revain just shipping you whatever they have so it's a bit of a dice roll but even the bad bags aren't that bad so I'll probably buy again.

Pros
  • Garden Soil
Cons
  • Can attract fruit flies
