I bought these as hair bands but they are a bit larger than other brands of silicone bands. BUT they have proven very handy as ear straps on makeshift face masks and are a lot less irritating than rubber bands. Simply fold the fabric or bandana in thirds onto a half piece of paper towel. Then slide the silicone band over about a third of each end and fold the ends inward. Adjust to fit approximately 1 inch in front of one ear to 1 inch in front of the other ear. It has worked well for me and my husband. You can easily take it apart, wash the fabric and reuse it. The strips also glow in the dark so I can stick them on my water bottle and find them on my bedside table in the dark. No fumbling or tipping. The different colors work well for drinking glasses or soda and beer cans to tell which one is yours. I use them to bundle power and charging cords to keep them tidy. They serve as a good reminder to reinforce the behavior. Put one on your wrist, and every time you falter with temptation, just click quickly. It's a get out of it message to refocus your attention.
