The sides of this hat are very short. I got the size 2-8 yrs, tried it on 4 different kids aged 2-5. It didn’t fit a single one properly. The baseball cap sides never even reached the top of the ears, not even on the 2 year old. The neck protection was also about a half inch-1 inch too short as well. In theory you think it would at least be long enough to shade all the way down to the shirt your kid is wearing, but this hat stood just short of that, leaving a small sliver of skin to be burned by the sun. Gave it 3 stars, because we made due with it. But it is lacking in the above ways. I would not buy this again.
