This is a good background for its price and even a higher price. The microfiber surface resembles a thin velor material. No transparency with a dark background. A bright light or window will shine through. Because it is complex, a network of folds has formed on it. I put it on the ironing board and on it a cotton kitchen towel - thin, almost white - damp from the water. I set the iron on the highest acetate setting (3 out of 10 on my iron) and ironed out the creases. I knew the iron was hot enough when I heard the hiss of steam from a cotton towel. It removed most of the wrinkles. (Photo shows a few left. A hand held steamer would probably work better.
